It's almost time for the Robins to return.
We look upon this migration as the first sign of spring.
These thoughts have come to me today while meditating on the verses above, James 1:2-4
Red robin returns
To form open sticky nest
Hidden in the leaves.
Father, mother move
To gather from forest floor
Leaves, sticks and soil.
Papa guards momma
While she lays robin-blue ova
Under her feathers.
Caw-crow discovers
His desired breakfast fare
On fir limb below.
Caw-caw says 'egg scent'
Charging down on the innocent
Resolute, resolved.
Swooping wild and fast
Does not detour black-spirit
Parched next to nest.
Care-less is his mode
Nest is toppled to the road
Broken to behold.
Blue mingled with gold
Dreams of parents loving -bold
Black-angel cared-less.
Red robin go away
To have another lay-day
Hidden in the leaves.
When meeting tests
Remember Red-Robin's nest
Hidden in the leaves.
